At Utah Ear Institute, we are more than a team—we are a family. And right now, our family is rallying around someone incredibly special to us: Jayden Rich.

Jayden is our Hearing Instrument and Technology Specialist, a young man who brings energy, kindness, and compassion to every person he meets. But today, we’re asking you to pause and stand with him, because Jayden is fighting for his life.

On the night of May 16, Jayden was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident on Bountiful Boulevard near the Temple. The crash left him with critical injuries, and he is now in a medically induced coma at Intermountain Medical Center. The trauma teams, ER doctors, and pulmonary specialists who’ve treated him say it is nothing short of a miracle that he survived. The extent of the injuries he suffered is unimaginable—and yet, Jayden is still here. Still fighting.

And in the face of that darkness, we’ve seen light.

Since that night, Jayden’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Small but powerful signs of healing are beginning to appear. These glimmers of hope—these miracles—are what keep all of us going. They are what remind us that recovery is possible, even when the odds feel insurmountable.

His family, friends, colleagues, and countless neighbors have come together in prayer, in gratitude, and in hope. And now, we’re asking our wider community—everyone who reads this—to do the same.

Whether or not you know Jayden personally, know this: he is a bright light in our world. He is someone who uplifts others, who serves with heart, and who brings joy to those around him. And now, it’s our turn to uplift him.
