Northern Utah’s Most Trusted Hearing Care Available to Grantsville, UT
Originally populated by the Goshute nation for thousands of years before any Europeans set foot on the North American continent, early settlers to Grantsville, UT first referred to the community as Willow Creek and Twenty Wells, due to the abundance of freshwater wells in the area. The town was eventually named in honor of Mormon leader Col. George D. Grant in 1853.
Separated from the Jordan Valley and Salt Lake City by the Oquirrh Mountains and bordered on the west by the Stansbury Mountains, Grantsville ore smelting provided the primary growth impetus to the community. Smelting has tapered off in the area, but many continue to enjoy the quiet life of the valley, which attracts water sports enthusiasts to the southern shores of the Great Salt Lake, Grantsville, and Vernon Reservoirs and all forms of motorsports fans to the Utah Motorsports Campus, which hosts auto, motorcycle, bicycle, and kart racing events.
