One of our favorite holiday traditions here at Utah Ear Institute is our Hear for the Holidays giveaway. If you’re not familiar with the Hear for the Holidays giveaway, it’s our way of giving back to our community by gifting a pair of hearing aids and personalized audiological care to someone special whom you have nominated.
We received many heartfelt and emotional nominations, and we were moved by every one of them. While hearing aids are often the best solution for someone struggling with a hearing loss, not everyone is in a financial position to get the help they need. This competition is an opportunity to change one person’s life for the better.
We are so thrilled to announce the winner of our 2023 Hear for the Holidays giveaway. Meet Joe!
Meet Joe
This is our Hear for the Holidays winner, Joe Hardman. His beautiful wife Amanda and his mother-in-law (our patient, Sandra Farley) nominated Joe because the cost of devices has always been too much.
Joe is a father of three who works in a loud environment most days in a printing press. Money seems to always be tight. This is a deserving father who always puts everybody’s needs before his. We are honored to be able to call Joe our friend!
Sandra said in her nomination,
This is my son-in-law and one of the nicest young men I know. He works around noisy equipment all day, and it has really affected his hearing. He is someone who will drop anything to help someone else. He has 3 daughters, one of whom he lost already. He loves his two who are still here with him, and he is a great husband to my daughter. His hearing loss is extreme – he has seen doctors in the past, but investing in hearing care just hasn’t been top of the list with a small, young family. I have been so happy with my hearing aids and want the same blessings for my favorite (and only) son-in-law. Thank you for this opportunity.
We are honored to be able to help Joe get the care he needs, and we can’t wait to see his life improve as his hearing improves.
